Recorded 17 April 2024

The Winding Up an SMSF Webinar is an essential, core training session for any adviser working with established SMSFs.

Winding up an SMSF can be problematic even more so when it involves paying out death benefits of a member. Determining how the SMSF assets will be liquidated, settling liabilities and receivables and deciding when and how to pay out the death benefits can seem like you are moving towards a never-ending target.

We take you step by step through the process of winding up an SMSF, including indicative timelines, how to ensure a smooth audit sign off, strategies to deal with assets that are difficult to liquidate and finalising the SMSF’s reporting requirements with the ATO.

Plus, working with clients and the issues they need to understand.
