What we cover
- PCG 2024/2 — the ATO’s recently finalised practical compliance approach to calculating an appropriate electric vehicle home charging rate (with retrospective effect from the 2022–23 FBT year)
- TD 2023/1 — the cents per kilometre rates for private use of motor vehicles other than cars (for the 2023–24 FBT year)
- TD 2023/2 — reasonable food and drink amounts for employees receiving a living-away-from-home-allowance fringe benefit (for the 2023–24 FBT year)
In addition, we consider the nine draft Legislative Instruments which will reduce employers’ compliance burden by allowing them to identify alternative documents they could use to satisfy their record keeping obligations in certain circumstances from 1 April 2024.
We also look at the key areas of the Commissioner’s compliance focus.
